In 1999 a new era started for Jeroen Frech, alias captain Jerry. He refitted the classic sailing yacht L'Iliade completely for sailing and diving charters. It was Jerry's dream to maintain a classic sailing yacht whilst combining his two passions: sailing and diving.

After Jerry obtained his business degree in economics he combined these landward interests and his eager for water. His dream became reality. He refitted the classic sailing yacht L'Iliade completely for sailing and diving charters. It´s not surprising that Jerry developed a passion for sailing. He first came in contact with the helm at the age of one. Together with his father he sailed an old Dutch barge on the Dutch lakes for many years.

Jerry attended the United Kingdom Sailing Academy. Now as a RYA Commercially Endorsed Yacht Master he is able to provide you with safety and sailing knowledge up to the highest standard. With more than 25.000 miles under his belt he is able to tell you some great stories in English, French, German and, of course, Dutch. He obtained his passion for diving during a holiday in France with friends. He continued diving and became a qualified PADI Dive Instructor. He will guide you through the beauty of this still undiscovered world and can even certify you as PADI Open Water diver during your stay on board.

This is the first season on board of the L'Iliade for "Matthijs Volkers". He is first mate on board of the L'Iliade. His interest in sailing began when he was really young.

After school and several jobs in different branches he decided to change life and to start a new career in the yachting Industry. Before his job on the L'Iliade he worked two years on charter boats in Holland. With his love for classis boats and his pleasure for sailing he could welcome you on board of the L'Iliade in English, German and Dutch.

This is Stephane's first season on board L'Iliade. Prior to joining the yacht, Stephan worked on other classic sailing yachts and in several restaurants in Corsica as chef, waiter and barman. He studied Law at university of Corsica.

With Stephane's good organizing skills, very pleasant personality and a passion for cuisine he will ensure that you are well looked after and catered for. Stephan will assure you that you will not have to think about anything else than just to enjoy the local fish dishes and the abandoned fresh fruits after you come out of the water from your dive or water-ski session.
