Refit 2006-2007

L'Iliade has undergone a complete refit in  Malta in 2006. L'Iliade is now fitted out with a new teak deck, wooden masts, steering system, tanks, engine, etc, etc.

Theo Rye, (naval architect) made all the drawings for the rig and the fittings to make an exact copy of the original sail plan dating back to 1935.

The main mast is the old mast of Hallowe'en and has been converted to suit the original sail plan.

Mizzen mast and booms have been made by Collars, Freeland Yacht Spars, in the UK and completed and fitted in France at Russo Yachting. The fittings were made by Bruno from Alesage Service in Stainless steel 314 A4. 

L'Iliade is now ready for years of trouble free sailing with a round the world trip starting in 2008.  

We have to say sorry for this delay to, Briq Huisvesting,  Troostwijk and Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuijn and there customers that were not able to come on board. In 2008 for the MIPIM L'Iliade will be there

Dullaert & Dumas

In June we will join the Voiles d' Antibes. This regatta will be the first of the season and creates always an nice atmosphere where all the different opponents rise out of their winter sleep to race again. During this regatta there are lots of nice side events organised. One of these events is the Trans bar. L'Iliade won this price by being the nicest /funniest/ best dressed crew during a crew parade in 2000. The price contained 365 bottles of Bandol Rose Wine. This is a good reason to go back and defend our title with you as crew on board.

MSN Netherlands, MSN UK ,MSN Germany and MSN Belgium will charter the yacht for sailing diving day trips to Les Isles de Lerins or the Hotel du Cap d'Antibes just around the corner from Cannes.

The end of June will be the start of the Bailli de Suffren from Saint Tropez. This Regatta will be the fourth time that L'Iliade will compete and is really one of her favourite ones. This sailing regatta is a off-shore race from Saint Tropez,France via Corsica, Porto Rotondo, Sardinia,Italy via Palermo, Sicily, Italy to Valetta, Malta. This fantastic organised race will give you the opportunity to be sailing off-shore during legs of 1 to 2 days non stop with beautiful sceneries and night passages. After the races you have plenty of time to visit the different harbours and islands. This race cannot be missed!!!

We will start in Valetta, Malta and will travel via Comino to Gozo. One of the best liveaboard sailing trips with the combination of cruising and diving in the med, 2006

L'Iliade will sail with the crew as fast as possible to Kotor in Montenegro.

Montenegro is definitely a well kept pearl in the Adriatic Sea.

You will get on board in Kotor(Montenegro), with her medieval walls that has been inscribed on the Unesco World Heritage list.  You will sail out of this stunning beautiful bay-fjord and will make a stop on a hand made island. Afterwards we will make a stop in Budva(Montenegro) before going onwards to the island Sveti Stefan. This is the perfect place for sailing and diving yacht charter. The trip will continue direction Croatia via Cavtat (Croatia), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Miljet (Croatia), Kurcula (Croatia), Hvar (Croatia), Brac (Croatia) and Vis (Croatia) to Split(Croatia)

From Split(Croatia) we will travel via Brac(Croatia), Vis(Croatia), Hvar(Croatia), Kurcula(Croatia), Miljet(Croatia), Sipan(Croatia), Dubrovnik(Croatia), Cavtat(Croatia) to Montenegro. Here we will visit Budva(Montenegro), Sveti Stefan(Montenegro), and Kotor(Montenegro).

The L'Iliade will have a sailing and diving yacht charter liveaboard Red Sea Special for the winter of 2007/2008. From X-mass and New Year she will be sailing and diving from the boat as a liveaboard yacht Starting from Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh 2007/2008 until half of February 2008 she will be available for charter, for sailing cruising and diving trips from Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada.
